 The cam alignment tool is highly recommended when replacing the vanos, and a necessity when replacing the cam gear bolts or exhaust hub to ensure the timing is perfect. This is the basic S54 timing tool kit which includes the cam alignment bridge with 1 locating pin, and crank locking pin. This tool can be purchased for $185, or return it when you're done for a $150 refund.
