Information and FAQ's for the Euro E36 M3/MZ3 Vanos


We fully rebuild the vanos and clean it inside and out, rebuild the oil pump, install new piston seals and high quality Viton O-rings, replace the oil filter, gaskets and many other small parts. The bearings inside each splined shaft are rebuilt with a tighter tolerance to address the rattling. Finally, the vanos is fully tested with the BMW switch box to ensure the solenoids are working and the vanos performs properly.
The Euro M3 vanos comes fully built and ready to install. No other parts are needed.
The core charge allows us to send you a vanos at a much lower price than a new unit would cost from the dealer. By sending out a complete, ready to install vanos the customer has the ability to replace their vanos as quickly as possible, and then return their old vanos for the core refund. This helps to keep your downtime to a minimum so you can get back on the road without waiting for parts.

The Euro M3 Vanos core charge is $500

We ask that you return your old vanos unit to us as quickly as possible. Once we receive your complete core we will inspect it and refund the core charge amount back to your Paypal or Credit Card account.

 

Cores must be complete and in good condition to receive a full refund. There may be additional charges for faulty solenoids or damaged/broken parts.

We do not offer any BMW specific tools for the Euro M3 vanos at this time.
There is nothing else to upgrade with the Euro M3 Vanos installation, although a valve cover gasket kit is recommended.
Yes, we encourage customers to send in their vanos to avoid the core charge involved with providing a pre-built unit up front. Once you send your vanos in we can have it rebuilt and shipped back out within 2-3 business days in most cases.
